Caryl has been painting in one form or another since elementary school, and received a B.S. degree in interior design with a minor in art history from Michigan State University.
Interested in the American and French Impressionist movements, she often travels to France and Italy to gather inspiration for her oil paintings, always stopping in at the Musee d‘Orsay in Paris to visit her old friends Monet, Pissarro, Cezanne and Renoir.
She particularly enjoys painting European street scenes and tackling architectural renderings, but also appreciates the joy of painting a peaceful landscape.
Caryl is a founding member of Art Seen, a member of the Tennessee Art League, Nashville Artist’s Guild, and the Chestnut Group.
