Jamie Sanderlin Parks grew up on a farm in the delta of east Arkansas, where she was surrounded by open fields, bottomland woods, levees and the Mississippi and White Rivers.
Jamie has always been in awe of the beauty in nature, whether it be a firey sunset, a field of stubble after a grain harvest, a vase of flowers, or a misty fog rising through the trees. Jamie feels that if she has captured a fraction of Nature’s beauty in her oil paintings, she has succeeded as an artist.
Jamie’s formal art education include an MA degree from the University of Iowa and a BFA from Arkansas State University. She is also a member of the Tennessee Art League and the Nashville Artist Guild.
